Question 1: Just who is "rip..."?
I have a weird background. I've been a soldier (US Army 1982-1985), a sergeant (1985-1988) and an officer (1988-1992). I have a BA (French) from Fresno State University (California, 1990) and an MBA from Webster University (Vienna, Austria). I have worked for a company supplying real-time operating systems ([[1]]), desktop application software ([GesmbH]), a high-performance middleware company ([Inc]), ... and as an assistant lock-keeper on the Thames River ([Lock]). Oh, and I was a UN diplomat spouse.
I've lived in six countries on three continents and have had 39 street addresses in 30 years. Also, I sent Howard an email in September/October 2003 about how Armor types call Infantry types "crunchies"... which ended up in two strips in the Zoojack. Not sure if it was just me, or if he received multiple emails about that.
I've been tuckered by Ringo (A SheVa VII, the Legacy of the Aldenata series) and Drake (an Alliance light cruiser, the RMN series), and one of the three "fanfic" novellas found on "the Posleen disks" from Baen Books is mine.
If you google my full name, I am neither the roman catholic, hard-line holocaust denying bishop, not the former Tamba Bay Buccaneers head coach, nor the guy responsible for the Apple Maps release fiasco under iOS.
Question 2: What is DDS?
[[2]] is a data communications middleware.
